MODERATION OF LANGUAGE IN A DIFFERENT FAMILY ENVIRONMENT (Language Moderation in The Multi-Ethnic Family Circumstances) Indonesia

Abstract
In fact, it can occur because of a personal relationship that is marriage. Ethnic marriages will certainly bring a new language to their children. Children born to parents of different languages, naturally get the language, the smallest of phrases that are different from their parents. Code mixing and code switching can occur in this nuclear family interaction. Not to mention, if in a large family, there are family members of different ethnic languages as the identity of a tribal owner is indicated in communication in the family. Communication interactions increasingly produce multingual language which shows the freedom of language as a form of family moderation. Freedom of language from the point of view of Using Different Languages, Language Usage, Code Transfer and Code Mixing in the family environment. The method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is done by observation, recording, interview, and recording of communication interactions that occur in the family. Observations were made to see firsthand the interaction of families, based on certain circumstances. Observations were not only made in one nuclear family, but occurred in 8 related families. Recording to document speech acts that occur in the family. Recording comes with a communication record. The documents taken are from communication data via WhatsApp Group. Interview to get data, about the attitude of the language carried out.
