Abstract

Abstract: The development of radical-extreme understanding lately is really one of the serious threats to the peace and harmony of the people, especially religious people in the border region. When hard and decisive efforts are not able to provide morning solutions to counter the influence of this understanding, then the strengthening of Islamic moderation insight becomes the most effective and most possible alternative solution. By strengthening messages of moderation, the people will naturally be able to filter and fortify themselves from the influence of radical-extremism. As a point of direction in fostering the community, strengthening the Dai and Khatib capacity is very important to be built through this mentoring program, with phases of mentoring focus which include: strengthening of moderation insight, guidance on writing moderation sermons, dialogues and questions and answers to basic Islam, practice of writing moderation sermons, and preaching assistance in the field.
